Red On, Yellow on, Green Flashing

This error does not specifically mean that the propane tank is empty. There could be many factors that can cause this fault. Basically this walk-through will take you through a basic start up from start to finish with a few extra steps so we can eliminate any problems.

1. Shut down the trap - When troubleshooting, always remember shut down the trap as the first step.

   1. Disconnect the power cord.
   2. Shut off the propane tank.
   3. Disconnect the regulator from the tank.
2. Getting started - Having everything you need to troubleshoot the problem can help you finish troubleshooting faster.

   1. Having a full purged propane tank
   2. Reset tool
   3. Quick-Clear Valve adapter
   4. Quick Clear Cartridge (12g or 16g) (May need more than one)
3. Troubleshooting the problem

   1. Quick-Clear Valve - With the Mosquito Magnet^® you always want to use the Quick-Clear Valve to clear out any impurities that may be clogging the lines. If you need instructions on this please refer to the Quick-Clear Valve section.
   2. Reset Tool - The reset tool should always be used every time you change the tank to ensure that the valves in the regulator and on the OPD valve are not locked out. If you need instructions on this please refer to the Reset Tool section.
   3. Connecting the power cord - Reconnect the power cord to the trap. Make sure that the plug is free from debris before you plug it in to the trap.
   4. Connecting the regulator - Connect the regulator to the OPD valve on the propane tank slowly making sure not to cross thread the connector.
   5. Turning on the propane tank - Turn on the valve on the propane tank slowly and all the way. If you turn the propane tank valve on to quickly the valve in the regulator and in the OPD valve can become locked out. If this happens then repeat step 3.b.
   6. Powering up the trap - After the propane tank is on and power cord has been hooked up, turn the power to the trap on by pressing the On/Reset button.

At this point the warm up light should be blinking. After about 5 to 10 minutes the trap should be fully operational which will be indicated by the green on light.

If the problem persists, and you keep getting a fault and you have tried up to 3 Quick Clear cartridges. Then call technical support, you may need a replacement power pack.
